The focus of our Preschool Room is to start getting our children ready for success in Kindergarten.
The Preschool Rooms are organized into different learning centres where children can move freely and explore, learn and play. Our learning centres include art, water and sand sensory tables, manipulative play, blocks, large motor skill development, literacy and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).
Outdoor daily play is an important part of child development and so our educators make sure it is incorporated every day. Our Preschoolers are often found playing in one of our spacious outdoor play areas.
Heritage Valley ELCC & OSC has an onsite kitchen facility and we provide children in our Preschool Rooms with 2 snacks and a hot lunch each day. Our menu rotates on a seasonal basis to ensure children are exposed to a variety of foods and cuisines.
